Abstract
Purpose: To study on near visual acuity and visibility, luminance transmittance by difference of 8 colors of ChromaGen Lens. Method: Luminous transmittance was measured after Spectrophotometer by 8 color ChromaGen lenses. For thirty university students who have best corrected visual acutity 1.0 or better and near visual acuity was measured by using 40cm near snell E chart and then color of clear vision (C.C.V.) and color of blured vision (C.B.V.) were selected with 8 color lenses (Yellow, Green, Aqua Blue, Blue, Pink, Magenta, Orange, Violet) at 800lux. Also, luminance transmittance by colors was analyzed and its effects were examined. And its difference was compared by colors. Results: Luminous transmittance showed Yellow (69.9%), Blue (69.1%),Violet (68.4%),Pink (63.5%),Aqua Blue (63.2%),Orange (61.5%),Magenta (52.2%) and Green (46.2%) in order. The highest visual acuity was measured when wearing yellow and blue chromagen lens, the lowest visual acuity was measured when wearing green and magenta chromagen lens. For the C.C.V.(color of clear vision), Blue(30%) was selected the mostly and for C.B.V.(color of blured vision), Magenta(26.7%) was selected the mostly. Conclusions: The higher luminous transmittance was, the better near visual acuity and visibility were. Therefore, in choosing color of ChromaGen lens, luminous transmittance of ChromaGen lens should be taken into consideration. And proper color was selected for each subject by comparing resolution by colors.
